Reading List: March 2019 + {New Video}

March is definitely going to be an interesting reading month for a couple of reasons.

First of all, I have SO many new books that I’ve been wanting to read for a really long time, and many of them are on this list.

But, most notably, I am participating in my second-ever readathon!

The Buzzword Readathon is hosted by Books and Lala and Chelsea Dolling Reads over on BookTube.

This is a super fun readathon where you are given a buzzword (or six in this case!) and you have to read as many books as you can that contain that buzzword. This month’s buzzwords are:

When
Why
How

In this reading list, however, I will not be going over my Buzzword Readathon books, I’ll be saving that for a separate post.

Instead, I’m just listing the books that I plan to read this month ASIDE from the books I choose for the readathon.

The official first day of summer isn’t until later in the month, but it sure feels like summer around here. After almost three weeks of rain every single day, the sun has finally broken through and I couldn’t be happier.

Typically, when it starts getting this hot around here, I start complaining about how suffocating it is, but after dealing with the extremely unusual wet weather for so long, I’m so grateful for the sun. Even if it melts me as soon as I walk outside.

It’s kind of like when you take for granted how amazing it is to be healthy until you get sick.

Anyway, it’s the beginning of June and that means it’s time for a new reading list…

Hello, May!

I have a Summer resolution and that is to go to the beach more. I’m literally minutes away from the beach and around only an hour away from one of the best beaches in the US and I’ve gone maybe 3 times last year.

It’s very sad.

This weekend I’ve vowed to take a family trip to the beach.

The beach is a great place to get in some reading! So, I’m going to share with you the books I’m planning to read this month and talk about the books I read last month.

I read a total of 11 books and re-read 3 in April.

Hello, March 🙂

Is anyone else embracing the arrival of Spring? Normally, the Floridian in me dreads the crazy hot weather, but I’ve actually been enjoying the 80 degree days lately.

There is something so refreshing about Spring.

Speaking of a refresh, it’s that time of month in which I review my reading list from February, see how I did, and set some reading goals for March.

How in the world is it February already? SERIOUSLY.

Anyway, I almost wasn’t going to do the first part of this blog post in which I go back and see how I did on finishing the books on last month’s Reading List, but I’ve decided not to have shame in my game.

Nope.

I will, instead, accept that I am a failure. (She says before she even looks back on the list she made last month).

Alright, let’s see how she did, folks! (/end writing in third person. Sorry.)

In putting together this list of books, I soon realized that this list is far too long for my comfort level. What I’m showing here is only a fraction of my full To Be Read As Soon As Possible list… which is only a fraction of my To Be Read list.

Le sigh.

In any case, most of these books I have not purchased yet. Books that make the cut on the particular list are books that have come highly recommended by multiple sources, are ARCs, or they are books written by authors who will be attending the Readers & Writers event in Tampa next month.
