{VIDEO} Finding Out I Have Multiple Sclerosis & Goodreads Readers Choice Romance Nominees Reading Challenge {READING VLOG}

I figured the best way to talk about this was through a reading vlog as I took you through a few days in my life.

I start talking about my diagnosis at 12:30 if you want to skip it or skip to it. Either way, I totally understand.

I will possibly, at some point, write a post about this as well.

If you’re interesting in the reading challenge, here is the info:

Before the end of the year, I am trying to read all of the books from the first round of the Goodreads Readers Choice Nominees in the Romance category.

Buzzword Readathon Vlog | Owlcrate/SipsBy Unboxing, Book Shopping, & A Lot of Whining {New Video}

I’ve successfully completed my very first Buzzword Readathon!

It wasn’t without it’s challenges. Both of my girls were sick and then I got sick, but I somehow was able to read all six books that I was planning on reading this week for the Readathon.

If you’re interested, I vlogged the entire time. You can check out the video here:

I’ll be updating again soon with my reviews of the books I read during the readathon. 🙂

Giant Book Haul: Book Outlet, Books-a-Million, Paperback Exchange, Thriftbooks

Lesson learned: don’t wait too long to do a book haul otherwise it will be enormous.

Clearly my mission to fill up my new bookshelves plus the discovery of a used bookstore near me has impacted my book-buying habits!

I filmed and posted my Book Haul video for Booktube a couple of weeks ago, but I’ve been putting off taking photos of the books since then, however, I finally was able to take the photos, so I’m able to share with you all the glorious books I purchased over the past several weeks!

If you’d like to watch the video, you can do so here:

If you’d rather just scroll through and see the synopses for the books, keep on reading!

TBR Cart Tour: What’s on my TBR Shelf + {New Video}

I had to do it, you guys. I jumped on the TBR Cart bandwagon.

If you don’t know what a TBR cart is, it’s a new trend in the bookish community where readers are buying these adorable rolling carts and using them to store their high priority TBR books.

As an owner of *literally* SIX giant shelves full of TBR books, this cart is perfect for me. I am able to pick out my TBR ASAP books that I own, pop them on the shelf, and visit them when I’m stuck on what to read next.

I think the best part of it all is being able to reorganize it and add/replace books regularly. And if you’re me, that means every other day you’re exchanging books.

Check out my video for a visual tour, otherwise, hang out here and I’ll walk you through it:

The top two shelves on my cart are reserved specifically for my high-priority TBR books or TBR ASAP books. There is no real distinction between the first and second shelves, only that the taller books are on the top because they don’t fit underneath and they can be hard to get out if the book is too tall.

The bottom shelf is used for library books so that we can keep the separate from the rest of our books.

Here are all the books on the top two shelves of my TBR cart:

Book Haul: Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, & Indie Bookstore + {NEW VIDEO}

I had the most therapeutic retail therapy last Friday as I made my way home from staying with my parents while my dad had his heart surgery. (Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers <3).

I ended up having a giant anxiety attack when I got home Friday night anyway, which wasn’t entirely surprising considering how anxious I was last week before the surgery, however, I did have a very nice time shopping that afternoon before everything kind of came crashing down on me all at once.

Sorry to be such a downer in the beginning of this post, let’s move on to brighter topics like ALL THE AMAZING BOOKS I GOT!

It’s been so long since I bought brand new books, it was such a treat! Yay for my mom letting me use her Barnes and Noble membership and me getting my own Books-a-Million membership (Dear BAM, please don’t go out of business.) Also Yay for me finding an AMAZING indie bookstore that has Drag Queen Story Time. I found more amazing books there than I did at the other stores.

If you want more in-depth info about these picks, feel free to watch my corresponding video:

{New Video} February TBR

You know what I love the most about BookTube (aside from the awesome community)?The fact that I have an excuse to do my makeup and hair… but not actually have to go anywhere.

It’s the makeup-addict introvert dream. LOL!

Also, I get to experiment with colors that I probably wouldn’t dare try if I were actually going out in public. This time it was the gorgeous blue shade in the Jaclyn Hill Morphe palette that I’d never tried before.

Anyway, I know I already posted my February Reading List here on the blog, but this video features a bit more detail and a few more books. Check it out here:

{New Video} January Reading Vlog

Hang out with me through the second half of January as I rearrange my bookshelves (and add two more!), torture my husband because he had to unscrew them from the wall and build the new ones, haul way too many books from the library book sale and library book store, unbox some BookTube supplies and bookshelf knick knacks, go shopping, and, of course, read a bunch of (mostly) great books.

Check out the video here:

Happy reading my friends!

{New Video} My Favorite Sports Romances

Hey there fellow book lovers!

I just wanted to pop in really quick to tell you that I uploaded a new Booktube video last night. You can check it out here or down below.

I have a corresponding post to this video here.

Let me know in the comments who your favorite Booktuber is! I’m currently obsessed with Meltotheany (who also happens to have one of my favorite book blogs of all time), A Clockwork Reader, and Novel Ink.
