Recently Added to My TBR: February 2019

I know.

Seeing this many books added to someone’s TBR list in just one month would probably give some people massive anxiety, but it is a total bi-product of
consuming so much bookish media: blogs and BookTube in particular, but also browsing any bookstore or library I can find when given a chance.

My dad, who only recently started reading (romance novels!) almost fainted when he realized that six of my bookshelves were all books I haven’t read yet. He said he felt overwhelmed because he bought 6 cowboy romance novels from Publix the other day.

Yes, my dad reads cowboy romance novels… and Mariana Zapata novels. Those are his favorites and I love every second of it. So much so that I gave him my Kindle since Mariana’s books are all on Kindle Unlimited.

Anyway, all this to say, yes, I know this is a lot of books (though not nearly as many as last month) and, no, I don’t mind.

Recently Added to My TBR: January 2019

Like I mentioned in my Decluttering post, I’ve been adding so many books to my TBR lately, it’s almost embarrassing… but I have no regrets. Most of the books I’ve added to my TBR are because of all the BookTube videos I’ve been watching.

I also indulged in some book shopping this month and last since BookOutlet had a sale and so did the library. I always end up adding more books that way because I discover so many as I’m browsing.

Here are all the books I’ve added to my TBR this month

Recently Added to My TBR: September 2018

Hello Bookish Peeps!

How has everyone’s week been so far? Mine… has not gone as planned. I’ve been looking forward to this week for awhile because it’s my parents’ library’s annual book sale that I attend (and take off of work for!) every year. I’ve been looking forward to spending the next few days with them, buying all the super cheap books, and eating my dad’s amazing food.

Instead?

My daughter got sick yesterday, so I’ve been taking care of a sick kiddo and will be doing so all day today as well.

I’m SO bummed. I feel bad for my little one and, selfishly, I feel bad for myself.

My husband has been out of town since yesterday, so there is no way I can make it to the book sale today or tomorrow.

I also have a 10K on Sunday, but we’ll see how that goes. My dad and I were supposed to do that together. I’m just hoping I don’t get sick, too 😦

Anyway, let’s go ahead and talk about all the books I’m flooded into my TBR this month!

Here are all the books I’ve added to my TBR this month

(In order from date added. Titles link to Goodreads.)

I’m on a mission to read all of Colleen Hoover’s books because I haven’t come across one that I dislike so far! Also, I love the title All Your Perfects. I also didn’t realize that Hunt existed. I’ve read the rest of the Wildcats series, so I definitely need to read this one. My mom gave me Weird Things Customers Say in Bookstores and Sweet Little Lies.

One Snowy Night came from my mom. Daughter of the Pirate King and Into the Crooked Place were Goodreads Recs. RoomHate is a rec that I got from Ginny’s review.

I’m absolutely obsessed with The All Souls Trilogy, so when I saw this release, I was super excited. One was another Goodreads Rec.

Recently Added to My TBR: August 2018

The Month of Birthdays is finally coming to a close with my husband’s on the 30th.

This year was the first year of my daughters’ birthdays that I got truly sad and not just excited for what is to come as they get older. Particularly my oldest daughter turning 6 and entering 1st grade… for some reason it hit me hard.

How much longer will she think I hung the moon? How much longer will she want me to cuddle with her? How much longer will she play with my hair like she’s been doing since she developed fine motor skills? How much longer will she be ridiculously excited to see me when I pick her up from school, and just a little sad when I leave for work?

Impermanence is a blessing and a curse. The realization that it applies to all things makes you appreciate what you have, when you have it, for as long as you have it so much more. At least it should.

Anyway, enough with the boo-hoo cryfest, let’s get on to the books!

This is a fairly new feature I’ve added to the blog last month where I show you all the books that I’ve added to my TBR! (As if the thing isn’t long enough. I just purged a bunch of books and now I’m adding so much more. #ViciousCycle)

Here are all the books I’ve added to my TBR this month

(In order from date added. Titles link to Goodreads.)

First, OMG R.L. Stine is writing more Fear Street novels! I was OBSESSED with Fear Street growing up and I’m living for this comeback! I found out about it thanks to this post over at Sophril Reads!

As for The Simple Wild… when Meltothethany recommends a book this highly, you better goddamn read it!

Love Songs & Other Lies was mentioned by The Book Dutchesses in a comment, and I was sold!

As for Royally, I’d just finished Royally Matched and decided I NEEDED to read the rest of the series!

What If It’s Us is another book I saw that Meltothethany rec that I saw from her on Goodreads!

I went to the Readers and Writers Conference in Tampa this past weekend and scanned a few books I saw there (and a few books I bought) into Goodreads!

And then I committed the cardinal book lover sin by watching Crazy Rich Asians before reading the book, but I’m rectifying the situation because I now own the book and will read it!

Recently Added to My TBR (July 2018)

I’m just settling in from a Date Day with my youngest daughter, Violet (3yo). Her sister has been at my parents house for a couple days and my husband was gone for the day, so I took advantage of the opportunity to have some fun, just her and I.

We went bowling, played in the arcade, went out to lunch, got some FroYo, went to the library, then came home and promptly took a nap. I actually slept, too! Which is rare. Usually, I can’t turn my brain off and use the opportunity to get some stuff done, but I passed right out.

Anyway, this is a fairly new feature I’ve added to the blog last month where I show you all the books that I’ve added to my TBR! (As if the thing isn’t long enough.

Here are all the books I’ve added to my TBR this month

(In order from date added. Titles link to Goodreads.)

TBH I’m not sure why I added Dr. Strange Beard to my TBR when I haven’t even read the first book, but I’m sure I’ll love the series, so I’m not mad about it. After recently reading my first Tammara Webber and enjoying it, I decided to check out some of her other books and Between the Lines looked really good. I actually only recently realized, after reading Legendary, that the third book in the trilogy had a title! As for Toil and Trouble, I mean, the cover is freaking gorgeous and the topic is exciting!

I read the first part of Jake Undone at the end of Gemini, and it got me hooked enough to add it to my TBR (even though Penelope Ward books have either been complete misses for me or just OK).

Most of these books and some of the ones below were added to my TBR after reading this post by Book Twins Reviews!

I’m actually surprised that To Kill a Kingdom wasn’t already on my TBR!

After finally reading The Kiss Quotient, I added Helen Hoang’s other book! The last three are books that I found at my local library’s little used book store. They’re a Persephone retelling!

Have you read any of these books? What have you added to you TBR this month?

Recently Added to My TBR (June 2018)

Hello book-loving friends!

It’s been a slow book month for me, however, that hasn’t stopped me from adding books to my TBR, of course.

I seriously have a problem – LOL!

Thank goodness for Goodreads, because that is 100% how I track all of my books. My only wish is that they had a “notes” section when you look at the list of all the books on your shelves.

Oh, well! Anyway, let’s see what books I added to my TBR this month!

Here are all the books I’ve added to my TBR this month

(In order from date added. Titles link to Goodreads.)

Normally I don’t add books to my TBR that are in the middle of a series like Tempted by a Seal, but this was a book I found at my local library bookstore.

Can you tell I’d just finished a Knitting in the City book and wanted to make sure I had the rest of the books on my TBR? LOL!

I’m pretty sure all of these books were added because of awesome reviewers!

I couldn’t resist Cock Tales given the whole #cockygate thing!

What have you added to your TBR this month?”

Recently Added to my TBR Shelf {May 2018}

This is a new series here on the blog, and I’m realizing that it’s pretty eye-opening.

At the rate that I’m adding new books to my TBR, I will have to read about 10 books per day for the rest of my life to get through them all. ::cringe::

Do you every just get overwhelmed with all the books and movies and music and other amazing media there is available out there? I’d want to be immortal just so that I could get through it all.

Sometimes, when I have a few spare moments, I almost go into a panic trying to decide what I should do. Should I listen to an audiobook? Read a book on my Kindle? Take a book off my shelf? Listen to a podcast? Watch a TV show or movie on Netflix?

It almost makes me sad to think of all the incredible stories I could be missing out on.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Here are all the books I’ve added to my TBR this month

(In order from date added.)

The Princess and the Fangirl (Starfield #2) by Ashley Poston
Because You Love to Hate Me: 13 Tales of Villainy by Ameriie, et. al
Flow (Grip 0.5) by Kennedy Ryan
Fallen Ink (Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #1) by Carrie Ann Ryan

I didn’t realize that Geekerella was a series until I looked it up on Goodreads after posting my review. I immediately added the next book in the series to my TBR. I actually thought that Because you Hate to Love Me was on my TBR, but when I realized it wasn’t, I added it.

Elusive (Princess Presley Duet #1) by S.E. Hall
Asher (Inked Brotherhood #1) by Jo Raven
Dreadful Young Ladies and Other Stories by Kelly Barnhill
Hardball by C.D. Reiss

Bombshell (Hollywood A-List #1) by C.D. Reiss
Shuttergirl by C.D. Reiss
Blackmail Boyfriend (Boyfriend Chronicles #1) by Chris Cannon
Unmaking Hunter Kennedy by Anne Eliot

After reading my first CD Reiss book, I kind of went on a spree adding all her books to my TBR. (I only add first books in series because I won’t know if I’ll want to read the entire series.)

A Thousand Beginnings and Endings by Ellen Oh (Editor), Elsie Chapman (Editor)
Ace of Shades (The Shadow Game #1) by Amanda Foody
Wait With Me by Amy Daws
The Kiss Quotient (The Kiss Quotient #1) by Helen Hoang

Ace of Shades has been everywhere lately, and so many great bloggers have loved it, I’m sure I will, too!

The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. Pan
Untitled Novella (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3.2) by Sarah J. Maas
Untitled (A Court of Thorns and Roses #5) by Sarah J. Maas
Untitled (A Court of Thorns and Roses #6) by Sarah J. Maas

Clearly, after reading the latest ACOTAR book, I went ahead and added all the rest to my TBR.

The Merciless (The Merciless #1) by Danielle Vega
My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix
How to Lead a Life of Crime by Kirsten Miller
Rush (Breathless #1) by Maya Banks

After reading Bentley’s review of Merciless, I added it to my TBR and asked him for Horror suggestions. He suggested My Best Friend’s Exorcism (the cover is so creepy!)
