Confession: I judge books by the cover.
That is… before I buy them. If I’m browsing books, it’s the cover that grabs my attention first.
Here are some books I bought because of the covers:
In Search of Us by Ava Dellaira
I saw this in the bargain section of Books-a-Million and it caught my eye partially because of the colors and partially because of the typography.
Sea Witch by Sarah Henning
This is a book that I saw while browsing on Book Outlet. It’s so beautiful.
Dread Nation by Justina Ireland
This is a book I found in my local library’s bookstore and something about the cover called to me and since it was less than $1, I bought it.
Song of the Current by Sarah Tolcser
You can’t see it in the picture, but the title is glitter. I didn’t realize it until I received it from Book Outlet!
The Lantern’s Ember by Colleen Houck
There is something about the use of light in the artwork of this cover that is so beautiful.
I Stop Somewhere by TE Carter
This is another book that I found on Book Outlet that caught my eye as I was scrolling aimlessly.
That Inevitable Victorian Thing by EK Johnson
The colors – teal and purple – paired with the gold foiling on this cover is SO gorgeous!
The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
I loved the witchy moonlit night vibe of this cover.
Legendary and Finale by Stephanie Garber
I bought this both because the covers are beautiful and because I’m obsessed with this series and I want every single version of it! These are the UK versions. I wish I could get my hands on the Caraval UK version!
These are all so pretty! I find it so hard to resist a pretty book.
