TeaChat: Brussels Sprouts & Library Sales

For those of you who are new around here, TeaChats are a monthly post that I do in which I pretend that you and I are going out and grabbing a cup of tea (or coffee or wine) and we’re chatting about what we’ve been up to lately.

Let’s chat!

Brief overview

Anyway… onward to the usual TeaChat updates:

At Present I Am…

I’m rereading the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, because my niece is reading them for the first time. I love being back in this world!

Corrupt (Devil’s Night #1) by Penelope Douglas
I’m almost halfway through the audiobook and I’m feeling pretty neutral about it.

The Bromance Book Club (Bromance Book Club #1) by Lyssa Kay Adams
I just started this on my Kindle this week and I already love it!

All the Booktube videos1

I’ve found a bunch of new Booktubers that I love:

I’ve been obsessed with making AutoImmune Paleo-Friendly roasted brussels sprouts! They’re SO good and the perfect mix of savory and sweet. All you do is cook sugar/antibiotic/nitrate-free bacon in a sheet pan in the oven. While that is cooking, you chop brussels sprouts into quarters and place them in a bowl. Top it off withe pure organic maple syrup, pure organic extra virgin olive oil, and AIP-friendly balsamic vinegar and just a tiny bit of sea salt. When the bacon is done, place it on top of the sprouts and break it up/mix it together. Pour the mixture into the bacon pan (with all the grease) and roast in the over for around 40 minutes.

Listening to

Gabrielle Aplin & JP Cooper – Losing Me

I’m so obsessed with this song. Gabrielle Aplin has the most gorgeous voice.

Obsessing over

The bookish community.

After participating in the Kindle Unlimited Readathon at the end of December, I feel like I’ve been communicating with more bookish friends online, and I’ve been loving everyone I’ve connected with!

If you want to connect with me on other platforms, I’d absolutely adore it:

What’s Next

I’m off of work for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which will be nice to have a long weekend. That same week from Thursday – Saturday is my parents’ Library Book Sale and anytime this happens, I usually take off of work and stay with them for the weekend and hit up the sale!

Tell me… what have you been up to lately? What’s up next?
