Title: To Kill a Kingdom
Author: Alexandra Christo

Princess Lira is siren royalty and the most lethal of them all. With the hearts of seventeen princes in her collection, she is revered across the sea. Until a twist of fate forces her to kill one of her own. To punish her daughter, the Sea Queen transforms Lira into the one thing they loathe most—a human. Robbed of her song, Lira has until the winter solstice to deliver Prince Elian’s heart to the Sea Queen or remain a human forever.

The ocean is the only place Prince Elian calls home, even though he is heir to the most powerful kingdom in the world. Hunting sirens is more than an unsavory hobby—it’s his calling. When he rescues a drowning woman in the ocean, she’s more than what she appears. She promises to help him find the key to destroying all of sirenkind for good—But can he trust her? And just how many deals will Elian have to barter to eliminate mankind’s greatest enemy?

To kill a kingdom? More like to kill a Kayla!

Watch out this book is definitely a page turner! Well, unless you are like me and when something drastic happens so you are scared to turn the page.

To say the least, this book was amazing! Love, love, loved it!

The characters in this are so unique and you get such a different type of love story with this book.

The banter between Elian and Lira had me laughing out loud and I thought it was so witty and creative. It really showed who their characters were and gave me a really good sense of their relationship. I loved how these characters both had a little bit of evil in them but it wasn’t the type of evil where it was completely and terribly evil. It was a type of evil that was intriguing and actually made me love that about the characters which is so weird to say, but trust me it works.

Usually, I’m the type of romance reader where I love when the book is mostly made up of the characters actually being together because I feel like there is a lot of excitement with that, but for this book it was different. I absolutely love how this book was set up and there was never a part where I thought the plot slowed down or got boring.

From beginning to end, I loved it and I think everything worked out perfectly. I can honestly say I would not change a thing about this book!

Butterfly Rating: 3 Stars

Book Boyfriend Rating: 5 stars

This was kind of difficult for me to rate because Elian is such a unique book boyfriend and I don’t think I’ve read another one quite like him so I really couldn’t compare him to the others. But, I did love him, he is always wanting to prove himself and carries a lot of confidence but also care that is woven between his of walls of calculated and clever defenses. The loyalty of his crew just shows how much everyone else adores and trusts him.

Age Recommendation: 13+
