For those of you who are new around here, TeaChats are a monthly post that I do in which I pretend that you and I are going out and grabbing a cup of tea (or coffee or wine) and we’re chatting about what we’ve been up to lately.
Let’s chat!

There is only one more room in my house that needs to have the floors redone. My sister and brother-in-law just finished our bedroom yesterday, and I swear, it felt like we’d never get to this point.
I’m a little sad because I was supposed to go to the library book sale last weekend at my parents’ library, but I got a terrible ocular migraine on Friday and it lasted all weekend and into the week. It’s be absolutely miserable.
I have a feeling these migraines have to do with stress. My dad had to get another cardiac ablation because the first one didn’t work.
It was a really scary incident that led to the procedure and I spent several days in the hospital with him, working remotely. He’s doing well, though, and we’re hoping this time the procedure works.
Anyway… onward to the usual TeaChat updates:
At Present I Am…
Reading
Heidi’s Guide to Four Letter Words by Andi Arndt and Tara Sivec
This is so hilariously cringy and a bit meta seeing as how Andi is a romance audiobook narrator and this book is about a girl who starts working at a romance audiobook company. This is such a light, fun read.
I only have an hour left in the audiobook and I’ll likely finish it soon!

Watching
Harrison Smith is the love of my life. He is the reason I love the Vikings. Also… the Vikings are my favorite color, so… it was meant to be. One day I will share my love story with Harrison Smith.
I very rarely watch TV, however it is football season, so I usually have football playing in the background (while listening to an audiobook and doing chores) on the weekends.
Also… As you may or may not know, I’m absolutely obsessed with Ben Platt, so I 100% binge watched the entire first season of The Politician on the day it came out.
It was everything I could’ve asked for and more. I loved it.

Consuming
I randomly bought these lentil chips at Marshalls of all places, and they’re so freaking good. I keep them at my desk at work.
Listening to
Lover, of course! Cornelia Street is my FAVORITE.

Obsessing over
This song. Ughhh. Be still my heart.

What’s Next
It’s time to PARRRRTYYYY!
Now that we’re pretty much done with our house, my husband and I are hosting a drunken game night at our house. We’re going to be playing games like Cards Against Humanity and Werewolf. Everyone is bringing drinks and appetizers to share.
Hosting anything always gives me a little bit of anxiety, but I’m super excited for this!
Get well soon for both you and your dad! Btw, I also can’t stop obsessing over Say You Won’t Let Go. It’s a good song!

Hope your Dad is recovering and those vile migraines dont come back.
I used to suffer all the time with migraines until I cried at the docs and he gave me a blood test and I had low vitamin D (caused by the cursed celiac disease), since I’ve been on high dose vit D every day = no more migraines (apart from those dreaded hormonal monthlys!)
Have a great week ❤
