A love like no other…

When Abbey’s best friend, Kristen, vanishes at the bridge near Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, everyone else is all too quick to accept that Kristen is dead…and rumors fly that her death was no accident. Abbey goes through the motions of mourning her best friend, but privately, she refuses to believe that Kristen is really gone. Then she meets Caspian, the gorgeous and mysterious boy who shows up out of nowhere at Kristen’s funeral and keeps reappearing in Abbey’s life. Caspian clearly has secrets of his own, but he’s the only person who makes Abbey feel normal again…but also special.

Just when Abbey starts to feel that she might survive all this, she learns a secret that makes her question everything she thought she knew about her best friend. How could Kristen have kept silent about so much? And could this secret have led to her death? As Abbey struggles to understand Kristen’s betrayal, she uncovers a frightening truth that nearly unravels her – one that will challenge her emerging love for Caspian, as well as her own sanity.

Review

So glad this book has two other books after it because I need more of this!

Supernatural romances are one of my favorite type of books to me. I just feel like they have so much potential because they typically have really cool concepts.

This book definitely lived up to the potential and I’m so glad it did! It intrigued me from the first sentence and was pleased at how quickly it started.

In the middle of the book, it was just a little bit slow for me but it worked because it was very suspenseful to find out what was going on. I found it
interesting that this book had a lot to do with the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. But the most intriguing thing about this book had to be Caspian and I was dying throughout the entire book to find out what was going on with him! I liked that it kept you on your toes all the way to the end to find out the big mystery.

I was barely over a hundred pages into this book when I realized I fell into the deep whole of loving yet again another book boyfriend. I’m I complaining? Nope, not at all. I find Caspian so mysterious and so swoon worthy. The fact that he can say two words and give you butterflies is an accomplishment in itself. His name is unique and I actually love it. His nickname for Abbey is both something I love and hate. I can’t decide if I like it or not. I think the meaning is cute but I don’t know if it is something that I fell in love with as much as Abbey did. I think it is so cute whenever he says “it’s a date” whenever he has plans to meet Abbey and always uses her name whenever he is speaking to her.
