For those of you who are new around here, TeaChats are a monthly post that I do where I pretend that you and I are going out and grabbing a cup of tea (or coffee or wine) and we’re chatting about what we’ve been up to lately.
Let’s chat!
April was such an eventful month for me in my personal life (I saw Dear Evan Hansen after two years of obsessing over the musical! I also got trapped in an elevator and fell down a flight of stairs all in the same night. It’s like, either get trapped on an elevator OR fall down stairs – not both in one night! What kind of awful thing did I do in a past life?!)
It was also my 11-year anniversary, and even though we didn’t do much celebrating since I was still injured, it was still a really nice weekend.
Easter was perfect – spent with family (and then I also had the theatre to myself when I went to see After.)
My husband and I also took Roree to see Avengers and we all LOVED it.
Anyway… onward to the usual TeaChat updates:
At Present I Am…
Reading
I just finished Rockstar by Lauren Rowe and just started:
Unzipped by Lauren Blakely (audio)
The Sun is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon (physical book)
Watching
Clips from After because I loved that movie way too much.
Consuming
My favorite dessert lately has been frozen blueberries that I pop in the microwave for about a minute or so to soften them up, then drizzle them with honey. The girls also eat frozen blueberries for dessert, so we’ve been going through so many bags of them lately!
Listening to
I’m LIVING for this!
Obsessing over
Ben Platt and his new album and live performances!
What’s Next
My only plan for Mother’s Day is to have a lazy day of reading. I do not plan on leaving my reading chair all day. THat’s all I could ask for for the holiday.
May is the last month the girls are in school and I cannot believe how fast this school year has gone by! I’m certainly ready for a nice summer spent in the new pool that we got for the girls and lots of beach days.
I loved Avengers!! Hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend hun ♥

I am so jealous of you seeing Dear Evan Hansen. I´m a major musical geek and that is one I dreamt of seeing since it got released. Hopefully I can fly over to London after it has it´s premiere. Currently reading the Dear Even Hansen novel haha
