Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.
This week’s topic is really hard for me only because I feel like I read nothing but series/duologies/trilogies, so I have very few standalone books that I’ve read and of those, even less that I truly feel need a sequel.
Therefore, I’m adjusting this Top Ten Tuesday to Top However-Many-Books-I’ve-Read-That-I-Wish-Had-Sequels, which will definitely not be ten.
I’m sorry.
Standalone Books That Need a Sequel
To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo
Right off the bat, this book popped into my head. I LOVED this book and even though it wrapped up really well, it left me wanting more because I just loved it so very much.
My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares
This is the second book that popped in my mind out of anger. It ended on a cliffhanger with no sequel in sight and I wanted to throw the book across the room and drown in tears of sorrow over the fact that no sequel will ever be written. I adored the evil book, but I hate cliffhangers!
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
Ok, so the rest of the books in this list are pure fluff. I simply want sequels only because I feel like I could live in these worlds forever and I wouldn’t even care if the sequel had no plot… I’d read about Lucy and Josh’s day-to-day lives in hundreds of books because I love them so much.
It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover
It’s just that I wanted so much to read more about this couple’s story… so much more than the Happily Ever After… I felt unsatisfied at the end.
I NEED the sequel of It End with Us! Seriously I want to see her with Atlas!

Love the Hating Game and agree that I could do with another five books worth of Lucy and Josh!
