First of all… Merry Christmas Eve to those that celebrate! I’m writing this a few days before it is going to post and I’m sure when this is posted, I’ll be knee-deep in wrapping paper, trying to get all the girls’ gifts wrapped.
Yesterday I posted my Bookish New Years Resolutions and one of them was to actually read books that I already own. What a thought! LOL!
These are the books from my bookshelf that I am planning to read in 2019:
I was lucky enough to purchase this book directly from the author at Shameless Book Con back in October. I’ve read (and loved) Jana’s Wrong series and I knew I wanted to try out another one of her books. The synopsis appealed to me, so I chose this one.
I’ve seen Meredith at a couple of book conventions and I keep meaning to read her books. I happened to find this book on sale at Books-a-Million last year and brought it to Shameless for her to sign. It’s time to see if she becomes a new favorite author!
I was so excited to see that Kandi was going to be at Shameless this year because I’d just finished reading Love Letter to Whiskey and absolutely loved it. I new I wanted to try another one of her books, so I chose this one to purchase from her at the convention.
This was another book I found at Books-a-Million as part of their Buy 2 Get One Free sale. I’d seen this on Goodreads and added it to my TBR awhile ago. Plus I’m in love with the cover and have it displayed on my bookshelf.
I saw this book all over Tumblr and I’ve been wanting to read this series for a while. This was on sale at Books-a-Million, so I got this book and the next book in the series: Wayfarer.
I’m currently reading this one and I’m still on the fence about it. I originally saw this all over Goodreads a while ago, so I added it to my TBR. KK Allen was also at Shameless, so I purchased this copy directly from the author.
I love, love, love Deb Caletti, but I haven’t read a book by her in YEARS. I actually had two copies of this book for the longest time… so long in fact that I don’t really remember when or where I bought it. I’m excited to get back into her books again.
The one and only giveaway I’ve ever won was on Twitter for this book. I was so excited about this book when it came out not too long ago.
Emma Scott won my heart after I read the Full Tilt duology and I flipped out when I found out she was going to Shameless. She was so sweet when my sister and I went to her table to buy this book because we told her how much she made us cry and she gave us a hug LOL! Anyway, I knew I wanted to buy another one of her books and this was the one that I chose when we went to the convention.
This was an exciting find at my parents’ library book sale a couple of years ago. I’d seen this book all over Tumblr and was so excited to find it for a few cents! I can’t wait to see what all the buzz is about.
To be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure if I wanted to read this until I spotted this book at a used book store (that no longer exists, womp womp). I don’t really know what this is about and I’ve only ever read (and really enjoyed) some of the Black Dagger Brotherhood books by JR… but I’m ready to see what else she has to offer.
I actually bought this book back when I was reading all the BDB books, but I ended up getting kind of burned out on that series and couldn’t bring myself to read this one even though I love the premise (angels!). Many years have passed since I’ve read a BDB book, so I’m so ready for this.
As you may or may not know, I’m obsessed with Laura Kaye’s novella duology Hearts in Darkness and I’ve been wanting to read more of her books. I wasn’t too impressed with Her Forbidden Hero, but I’m not giving up just yet! I’ve heard good things about this series and when I found most of the books from this series at a used bookstore, I bought them all. I was able to bring them to Shameless and have her sign it, too!
Stacy was at Shameless as well and I knew right away that I needed to buy this book. I’d seen it all over Goodreads when it first came out and I like the unique premise.
I actually saw this book at the pop up bookstore at Shameless and bought it even though the author wasn’t at the convention. I’m super intrigued by this book!
I really like Kasie West and I know that my niece is drooling after this book, so I’m mostly bumping this up so that I can let her borrow it when I’m done.
I’m obsessed with these movies and I’ve been really wanting to read this book.
I found this book at the library book store as well. I wasn’t originally planning on reading it, but when I saw it for just a few cents, I figured I’d give it a shot then watch the movie afterwards.
The Six Rules of Maybe by Deb Caletti
I fell in love with Deb Caletti’s books almost several years ago and read quite a few of them. I picked this one up around the same time and never got around to reading it. I can’t wait to jump back in to her books again.
I believe I bought this book new from Borders back when they were still around. I don’t fully remember what made me pick this book, but I’m still very curious about it.
I love love love Laini Taylor (I mean, who doesn’t?) and I adore this series, but for some reason is has taken me so long to get through it! I swear I started reading this series like 5 years ago.
I remember standing in Barnes & Noble, like, 7 years ago picking up this book and deciding to buy it. I, however, cannot remember what it is about, but I think it’s about time I figure it out.
I’ve heard great things about this book and I loved her Wiccan series, so I can’t wait to read this!
I bought this book from the Bargain section at Barnes and Noble about a year or so ago. I love Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy and her Georgina Kincaid series. I couldn’t really get through Bloodlines or Gameboard of the Gods, but I’m definitely curious about this one. I actually had my daughter pick out a book from my shelves that she thought I should read this year and she chose this one.
I bought this at Barnes and Noble many, many moons ago. Back when I had the time to spend my evenings there, browsing the shelves and buying bunches of books. It’s a huge book and just as intimidating as it is intriguing.
What books are on your shelves that you haven’t read yet, but would like to? Have you read any of these?
