Title: Pucked Love
Author: Helena Hunting
Series: Pucked #6
Format: Audiobook purchased from Audible
As an NHL player, relationships haven’t been my thing. Shrouded in secrecy and speculation, they never last very long. But then that’s what happens when you require an NDA before the first date.
Until Charlene. She’s like a firefly. She’s elusive, and if you catch her she’ll burn bright, but keeping her trapped dulls her fire and dims her beauty.
I caught her. And as much as I might want to keep her, I’ll never put the lid on her jar. Not at the risk of losing her. So I’ve let her set the rules in our relationship.
But as long hidden secrets expose us both, I discover exactly how fragile Charlene is, and how much I need her.
We’re all broken. We’re all messed up. Some more than others. Me more than most.
I have been eagerly awaiting this book.
I’ve been intrigued by Darren since BOOK ONE and it took 7 freaking books before we got to find out more — and I wasn’t disappointed.
Darren – and this book – was everything I was NOT expecting … in the best way.
My very favorite thing about this entire series is how unique each of the characters and their relationship are. Sometimes, in books like these, the stories and the development of relationships can get a little redundant, but every one of these stories has shined a light a little differently.
As always, this story had plenty of laugh out loud moments and just as many sweet moments. All of my favorite characters made an appearance and even though I could’ve used more Lance and Poppy, I still felt satisfied in the book overall.
All in all, I’m happy with this ending to the series (though, honestly, it doesn’t feel like an ending… where is Rookie’s story?!)
If you haven’t read the Pucked series yet and you are a lover of contemporary romance… you NEED to!
