Title: November 9
Author: Colleen Hoover
Format: Audiobook purchased from Audible
Synopsis:
Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.
Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon—and simultaneously his novel—be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?
Review
This book threw me onto a rollercoaster of emotions.
Right off the bat, I was desperately in love with the book. It was immediately a 5 star read… and then, about halfway through, it was plummeting fast… and finally, as you can see, it shot right back up.
Colleen Hoover has a way of toying with your emotions like very few other authors and, on top of that, she also writes the most epic and unique love interests of all time. Pair it all with her beautiful writing and she has quickly become one of my all time favorite authors.
November 9 was such a gorgeous story of love: new love, self love.
As always, Colleen’s characters were complex and what I like to call Human Plus. They are relatable and feel like they could be real, but at the same time they have that little spark of fiction.
I loved seeing Fallon’s struggles and successes with her physical confidence and Ben’s struggle with his internal confidence. These two characters had so much immediate chemistry and just fit so well together while still being very different.
If you want a new adult love story with a twinge of something more, this is a great choice.

I have been hearing good things about this author… I am keeping romance for December. I am hoping love does visit me in December and then stays forever in real life and in books

I stopped reading the book pretty early on, I just found in really weird. The guy interrupting the girl’s conversation with her dad was okay, but then he’s like complaining about her wearing too much clothes, being weirdly curious about her scars. He literally tells her she looks insecure and that’s why he thought he would have a chance, what kind of romance book is that? Like is he supposed to be a douchy character, because that might make sense

That’s an interesting take on it. I 100% didn’t percieve him that way at all.
It’s funny how the same book can be recieved so differently by others.

Didn’t mean to sound sharp if I did, just honestly curious to why it has such good ratings.

Now worries – I didn’t take it that way! Most of the time I tend to agree with the majority when it comes to books, but there have been a handful that people have loved and I’m over here like, “Errr what? This book was awful!”
