Shoutout to Ginny for tagging me in this super fun survey! ❤
AUTHOR YOU’VE READ THE MOST BOOKS FROM
Thank goodness for Goodreads! Cate Tiernan is the author I’ve read the most books from, but I almost feel like it’s cheating because her Sweep series has a million books in it. I’ve technically only read her Sweep series and her Balefire series.
BEST SEQUEL EVER
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. Hands down.
Rogue by Rachel Vincent – it’s been awhile since I read this series!
DRINK OF CHOICE WHILE READING
Tea! What goes better with books than tea??
E-READER OR PHYSICAL BOOK
I love both for very different reasons… I couldn’t possibly choose! It’s situational!
FICTIONAL CHARACTER YOU PROBABLY WOULD HAVE ACTUALLY DATED IN HIGH SCHOOL
I’ve always been attracted to (and friends with) guys like Gideon from Foolish Hearts… he’s probably the most “realistic” choice for me!
GLAD YOU GAVE THIS BOOK A CHANCE
Howl’s Moving Castle was definitely something I went out on a limb reading, and I absolutely adored it.
HIDDEN GEM BOOK
I will always sing the praises of Some Quiet Place… I can’t believe more people haven’t talked about this book.
IMPORTANT MOMENT IN YOUR READING LIFE
Meeting RL Stine was a pretty big deal for me because it was the Goosebumps series that made me fall in love with reading.
I absolutely adored How to Walk Away by Katherine Center.
KINDS OF BOOKS YOU WON’T READ
Any highly controversial books either written by authors that I have issues with or books with problematic themes.
LONGEST BOOK YOU’VE READ
If I knew how to look it up on Goodreads, I would… but I don’t. I’m going to assume it’s probably a book by Sarah J Maas, though!
MAJOR BOOK HANGOVER BECAUSE OF
I’ve had massive book hangovers before, but there will never be one as close to ACOMAF!
NUMBER OF BOOKCASES YOU OWN
ONE BOOK YOU HAVE READ MULTIPLE TIMES
I actually wrote a blog post listing some of my comfort reads. I’ve seriously read those books dozens of times!
PREFERRED PLACE TO READ
I love reading in my little reading chair located in my home library. But, honestly? I don’t discriminate — I read anywhere!
QUOTE THAT INSPIRES YOU/GIVES YOU ALL THE FEELS FROM A BOOK YOU’VE READ
I am of the theory that all of our transcendental connections, anything we’re drawn to, be it a person, a song, a painting on a wall–they’re magnetic. The art is the alloy, so to speak. And our souls are equipped with whatever properties are required to attract that alloy. I’m no scientist so I don’t really know what the hell these properties are, but my point is we’re drawn to stuff we’ve already got a connection to. Part of the thing is already inside of us.
How to Kill a Rockstar has some of my all-time favorite quotes. This is just one of many.
SERIES YOU STARTED AND NEED TO FINISH (ALL BOOKS ARE OUT IN SERIES)
I still haven’t finished the Black Dagger Brotherhood series … I just could only handle so much of how they talk, despite really liking the stories. Also, just like with TV shows, at some point, it just needs to start. Go out with a bang, not a whimper.
THREE OF YOUR ALL-TIME FAVORITE BOOKS
This is such torture!
- ACOMAF by Sarah J Maas
- With Visions of Red by Trisha Wolfe
- The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
VERY EXCITED FOR THIS RELEASE MORE THAN ALL THE OTHERS
Hmmm… I don’t think I have any books I’m looking forward to right now! Weird!
WORST BOOKISH HABIT
Destroying the books I love. I crack spines, fold pages, write in the margins, underline, stain… all the horrible things you can do to books, I do to mine.
X MARKS THE SPOT: START AT THE TOP LEFT OF YOUR SHELF AND PICK THE 27TH BOOK
Just One of the Guys by Kristen Higgins. I picked this one up at the little library bookstore near me 🙂
YOUR LATEST BOOK PURCHASE
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas was on sale during the last Audible sale!
ZZZ-SNATCHER BOOK (LAST BOOK THAT KEPT YOU UP WAY LATE)
This happens all the time LOL! How to Walk Away was the most recent book that kept me up, though!
TAG! You’re it!
I tag… anyone who wants to take this one on! Let me know in the comments if you end up doing this one!
