Kelly over at Just Another Book in the Wall tagged me in this and it was perfect timing because I was in the mood for another tag! Thanks, love! ❤
Here we go!
Chocolate Chip | A Classic Book That You Love or Really Enjoyed
I love, love, love The Great Gatsby. I loved the book when I read it in high school, I fell in love with the Robert Redford version of the movie back then, I re-fell in love with the story when Leonardo DiCaprio took on Gatsby, and I adored Jake Gyllenhaal’s audiobook version. The writing is beautiful and I adore the 20’s.
Thin Mints | A Fandom That You Really Want to ‘Join’ and/or a Hyped-Up Book You Want To Read
Omg, I almost don’t want to answer this because I feel like I’m going to get my book nerd status revoked, but I just never could get into Harry Potter. Granted, I only read the first book and half of the second and it was a long time ago… but I promise, I’ve been wanting to be in on the craze! Maybe one day…
Shortbread | An Author You Can’t Get Enough Of
I’m on a Helena Hunting high right now. She just announced the release of Pucked Love and July cannot come fast enough. I’ve preordered that book along with I Flipping Love You yesterday!
Samoas | An Emotional Rollercoaster
I lost it so many times while reading The Sky is Everywhere. For a few reasons:
1. I lost my grandma around the time I read that book. And this book so gorgeously nails loss and grief.
2. I’m extremely close to my two sisters and the relationship between the main character and her sister who passed was nearly exactly like my relationship with my sister was growing up.
3. The writing was so devastatingly lyrical.
Oreos | A Book Whose Cover Was Better Than The Story OR Vice Versa, Where The Story Was Better Than Its Cover
Jacob by Jacquelyn Frank. This cover is so desperately cheesy and stereotypical, but oh my goodness the story inside was so, so good!
Tagalongs / Peanut Butter Patties | A Book That Wasn’t What You Expected
I’m actually going to go with the book above, Jacob by Jacquelyn Frank. Before reading that book, I’d mostly read YA and other random books, but I’ve never read an actual adult romance. I’d purchased Jacob because it was on sale and I was really into paranormal YA. I can’t tell you how shocked I was when I started reading the super steamy scenes! I was hooked on adult romance from that point on!
Snickerdoodles | A Book You May Never Stop Rereading/ Loving
I am a serial re-reader. I have an entire list of comfort reads here and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. If I had to choose one book, I think I’d go with ACOMAF.
Loved your answers! I hope you decide to give HP another try some day! ❤️

It’s on my bucket list for sure! I usually tend to love books that have a lot of hype, so I was super surprised when I didn’t fall down the rabbit hole with those!

OMG yes he did! He brought such a vulnerability to Gatsby that I wasn’t expecting. It made the ending that much more tragic!

I wasn’t sure what I’d think about it a decade after I first read it , and I actually like it more.
