But when Erin walks in on Blake touching himself and moaning her name, all bets are off.

The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick
Meet Pat. Pat has a theory: his life is a movie produced by God. And his God-given mission is to become physically fit and emotionally literate, whereupon God will ensure a happy ending for him—the return of his estranged wife, Nikki. (It might not come as a surprise to learn that Pat has spent time in a mental health facility.) The problem is, Pat’s now home, and everything feels off. No one will talk to him about Nikki; his beloved Philadelphia Eagles keep losing; he’s being pursued by the deeply odd Tiffany; his new therapist seems to recommend adultery as a form of therapy. Plus, he’s being hunted by Kenny G!

xo, Zach by Kendall Ryan
The first time we met was at a party.
Your ex arrived to show off the person he’d left you for last month, and you asked me to pretend to be your date.
I was more than happy to help. You were attractive, smart and witty–and that kiss we shared? It left me wanting you for days.
The second time we met was in my office on campus where we were both surprised to discover you were the new master’s degree student in poetry that I would be working with. You promised to be professional. I did no such thing.
The late nights and intense study sessions spent alongside you majorly throw me off my game. I want you, and I fight with myself daily over this fact.
I know I’m crass, that my sexual innuendos and dirty mouth annoy you, but I live for those two bright spots of color in your cheeks. If that’s the only reaction I can get out of you, I’ll gladly take it.
You hate Mondays so every Monday I slip an anonymous poem into your bag and your smile gets me through the week.
I think I’m falling for you, and I know it’s wrong. I know that I’m only supposed to be the adviser to your program and nothing more, but here’s the thing. I think you’re falling for me too.
xo, Zach

Storm and Silence (Storm and Silence #1) by Robert Thier
Freedom—that is what Lilly Linton wants most in life. Not marriage, not a brood of squalling brats, and certainly not love, thank you very much!
But freedom is a rare commodity in 19th-century London, where girls are expected to spend their lives sitting at home, fully occupied with looking pretty. Lilly is at her wits’ end—until a chance encounter with a dark, dangerous and powerful stranger changes her life forever…

White Knight by C.D. Reiss
Catherine Barrington is a rich girl. Chris Cartwright is a poor boy.
He left her to make something of himself. A man she could be proud of. A man she could bring home to her parents. A man she could marry.
On the trading floor he became the man he knew he could be. Now, it’s time to return.
Rich girl.
Poor boy.
She didn’t care about his money, but he didn’t believe her. Soon after he left, all the money was gone.
Her life is hell.
Now he’s back, and he’s different. Pristine. Gorgeous. Rich.
Rich boy.
Poor girl.
Money was never the barrier, until now.
I will vote for white knight as it is on your asap reading list. 😉

I vote for The Silver Linings Playbook (I would suggest watching/rewatching the movie, it’s a lot more enjoyable when you can visualize JLaw and Bradley Cooper 😁😁 while reading)!
It was a fun and quick read 😅

I’ve only read Beauty Touched the Beast and I honestly just thought it was ok. Out of the rest I’ve only heard of Silver linings playbook and I’m interested in that one so that’s the one I’m going to choose.

Thanks! Yeah, I feel like Beauty Touched the Beast could go either way.

Just fyi the average goodreads rating for Storm and Silence is highly inflated from thousands of 12ish year old girls on Wattpad…I used to read the story on Wattpad and I was kind of shocked that the author asked his followers to create multiple accounts each to vote for him in the Goodreads awards

The movie’s been out for awhile and I keep telling myself that I need to read the book first before I watch it LOL! How was the movie?

My vote would also go for Silver Linings Playbook. For some reason I read the whole thing on my old iPhone 4. That I wouldn’t recommend :). And the bonus is you can listen to the soundtrack while you read it.

Oh boy, reading it on a phone had to be rough!
I never thought of listening to the soundtrack while reading, but that is a fantastic idea!
