My auto-buy authors are authors whose books I will immediately buy and (eventually) read, no questions asked.
That’s how much faith I have in their story-telling.
Today, I thought I’d share with you a list of all of my current auto-buy authors and my favorite books by them!
My Current Auto-Buy Authors
Author: Rainbow Rowell
Favorite Book or Series: Fangirl
Rainbow ensnared me in her web with Fangirl. I’d been hearing about that book for years before I finally picked it up and immediately fell in love with her characters. I went on to read the rest of her books all within a month. Now I’m waiting patiently for her next book release!
Author: Sally Thorne
Favorite Book or Series: The Hating Game
This is the only book that Sally has written and it’s a testament to how much I loved it that she’s already on this list. She’s only just finished her second book and I cannot wait to read it!
Author: Helena Hunting
Favorite Book or Series: The Pucked series
I talk about Helena all the time, so it’s no surprise that she is on this list. She already had a ton of books out when I discovered her, so I’m still working through them all, but please believe I have a bunch of them on the shelves waiting!
Author: Lauren Rowe
Favorite Book or Series: Misadventures of a College Girl
The fact that this book is listed as my favorite from Lauren and NOT The Morgan Brothers series says just how much I loved this book… because trust me, I adore The Morgan Brothers. I didn’t love the last book in her The Club series, but she is still an Auto-Buy author for me! I’m caught up with all of her books and I’m waiting for more!
Author: Laura Kaye
Favorite Book or Series: Hearts in Darkness duology
Laura ensnared me with this series. I’ve yet to read any of her other books, but I’ve already bought a bunch of them. I can’t wait to dive in!
Author: Nicholas Sparks
Favorite Book or Series: Dear John
This author being listed here is proof that not necessarily my favorite authors. I like Nicholas Sparks, but I don’t love his stories. However, for some reason, I feel the need to read every book he releases.
Author: Kelsey Sutton
Favorite Book or Series: Some Quiet Place
Kelsey is so young but so talented. Her writing and story-telling is subtle but unique. She’s only written a few books and I’m dying for more!
Author: Laini Taylor
Favorite Book or Series: Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy
Laini is another extremely talented writer. She can write fantasy like very few others. When I’m in the mood for Fantasy, I can count on Laini!
Author: Sierra Simone
Favorite Book or Series: Priest
Oh, you don’t like erotica? How about now? Sierra changed my mind about erotica with her gorgeous writing. She can tell an otherwise raunchy story and turn it into something gorgeous and incredibly sexy. If I see her name on a book, I want it.
Author: Tiffanie DeBartolo
Favorite Book or Series: How to Kill a Rockstar
Of course my favorite author of all time would be on this list! With only two books under her belt, and one on the way, I cannot wait to devour every word she writes. She is a brilliant writer – taking huge emotions and packing them into tiny, consumable packages. Her descriptions slay me.
Author: Trisha Wolfe
Favorite Book or Series: With Visions of Red Trilogy
Trisha is the most recent addition to this list and you’ll see my rave reviews very soon. I’ve been obsessed with her dark worlds and characters over the past few weeks! I’m working my way far too quickly through her entire collection.
Author: Sarah Kay
Favorite Book or Series: B
Sarah is my all-time favorite spoken word poet. She has two poetry books, one collection called No Matter the Wreckage which I absolutely love, but B wins here because it is my all-time favorite poem by her turned into a simplistic illustrated book. I read it to my daughters all the time. She’s a brilliant poet.
Author: Sarah Dessen
Favorite Book or Series: Just Listen
Sarah Dessen is like a female Nicholas Sparks for me. I can’t not read every book that she writes! Some I adore, some are just ok, but I read them all.
Author: Jay Crownover
Favorite Book or Series: The Marked Men series
Jay drew me in with this series… particularly Rule’s book. She writes books so fast and I’m still catching up, but I certainly plan on reading them all!
Author: Deb Calletti
Favorite Book or Series: The Nature of Jade
Deb Calletti, somewhat like Tiffanie DeBartolo, has a way with describing things in such a unique and vivid way, reading her books is an absolute pleasure. This description always stuck with me:
Before I ring the doorbell, Sebastian opens the door. He is wearing jeans and a sweatshirt and looks tousled and relaxed; he’s barefoot. He is the visual equivalent of a Sunday morning.
I love this list! There’s quite a few on here that I’ve been meaning to check out! I’ve heard nothing but good things about How to Kill a Rockstar!

Yes! Me, too! Thankfully, I read it right before the movie came out, so I pretty much was able to finish the book then immediately see the movie.
