Review
I had extremely high expectations for this novel. I fell in love with Captain and Ball Peen Hammer (both of which are part of The Morgan Brothers series, a spin-off of The Club series.) and I fully expected that I’d fall in love with this book, too. Well, I am happy to announce… I did.
It’s surprisingly not extremely rare when a book that I’ve set high expectations for are actually met, so as I read this book, I was able to just sit back and enjoy it like I enjoyed LR’s two previous books that I read.
However, just now as I sat down to rate this book, I struggled between giving it a 4 or a 5 star rating. This is, in part, because as I’m writing this I’ve already read Book 2 and… well, you’ll see in my next review.
In any case, I loved this story. It was unique and the characters, as all of LR’s characters are, were so entertaining and loveable, despite obvious flaws.
The meetcute was refreshingly unique and kept me on the edge of my seat for a good portion of the story.
While I was initially a little upset that I read The Morgan Brothers series before this one, I realized that once I began reading this book, it didn’t really make a huge difference. The Morgan Brothers, at this point in the series, are still very much tertiary characters – if that.
Audiobook Performance: 5 Stars
Can I just take a moment to say that I freaking love Lauren Rowe for putting ALL of her audiobooks on the Romance Package. As I mentioned before, I love John Lane and LR as audiobook readers. You can see my rave review about them on my Ball Peen Hammer and Captain reviews!
Butterfly Rating: 5 Stars
Guys, when Jonas freaking calls Sarah out of nowhere that first time… it was all the butterflies in the world. I couldn’t take it. And that was just one butterfly-inducing scene. Love!
Re-read Worthiness: Yes
I’m legit needing to keep myself from rereading this book right now as I write this review. No, Bree! You have too many books in your TBR!
Bookshelf Placement: Yes
NEED THIS ON MY SHELF!
Book Boyfriend Rating: 5 stars
Dude, I loved Jonas in Captain and he was barely in it. Of course I loved him in his own book!

Fab review Bree! I can’t do audiobooks because I always imagine the voice differently in my head, but I’ll be adding this to my TBR.
