Here are the questions from Larissa and my answers:
Story behind your blog name?
Love & Words is a play on “All’s Fair in Love and War.” I’ve always been a big fan of a good play on words, and when this popped in my head, it fit perfectly.
What is one of your favourite blogs? Share the love!
Just one?! How about this, I’ll tag a few of my favorites for this award down at the bottom of this post 🙂
Would you like to become an author, if so what genre would you write about?
I would and I did! My go-to genre is romance, of course ❤
A book you’re most excited to FINALLY get to this year.
Caraval! I recently found it for fifty freaking cents at my local library bookstore! It was beautiful, in perfect hard cover condition and I literally launched myself at the shelf as if there were thousands of people diving for it when in reality, I was the only person in the entire store.
If you could choose one book being released in 2018 to get for free, what would it be?
I’m so not up on new releases, to be completely honest. The only ones I know about are the ones that my favorite authors (whose books I’ve read all of) are coming out with, so I’m going to say 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne because OMG I LOVED THE HATING GAME AND I NEED MORE SALLY THORNE IN MY LIFE. And free would just make it that much more wonderful. Though, we all know I’m going to buy it no matter what.
What book world would you most like to be transported to?
Oh man… I’m going to go with Velaris from A Court of Mist and Fury. I’ll also take my own Rhys. Kthxbye
Favourite female character?
Eeek! This is so hard! I feel like a few hours after I post this I’ll immediately think of someone else, but for now I’m going to go with Reagan from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I realize she’s a secondary character, but I think it speaks volumes about how awesome she is that she didn’t even have to be a main character for me to love her.
Favourite male character?
Oh, Lord, this is so hard! I almost feel like it’s cheating to say Rhysand from A Court of Mist and Fury because he’s the bar with which I compare all other book boyfriends, but honestly, I can think of no one better. He’s such an interesting and alluring character.
Short term goal for the year?
I am currently doing a No Sugar January challenge with a friend of mine. I’m not cutting out things like fruit and other natural sugars, but I am cutting out added sugars. So, basically desserts and anything with added sugar in them — even fake sugar (like certain sauces). I’m doing good so far!
Long term goal?
Read 150 books this year! Be present. Stay fit. Eat like a PRO (lots of PROtein and PROduce). Spend quality time with my family and friends. Maintain this blog as long as it makes me happy.
One weird thing about you.
I write character descriptions for everyone I meet. It started as a writing practice, but now I can’t help but at least do it in my head when I meet someone. I’m always thinking, “How would I describe this person if they were a character in a novel?”
